ICE Holds

If your relative is in custody and is about to be released but has been told that he or she has an ICE HOLD and will not be released then that individual needs to hire an immigration attorney to represent their interests. An ICE hold means that an ICE officer will review the person’s case and then make a determination as to whether or not that person will be released from custody or detained by US ICE at that point (at the conclusion of serving their prison sentence). The US ICE officer will also make the determination as to whether or not the alien will face immigration charges in removal proceedings. Your relative will be in a much better position if represented by an immigration attorney at this stage of their case. Please call to schedule an appointment.
