Muslim Travel Ban # 2 lawsuit filed to stop it

State of Hawaii has filed a lawsuit to STOP President Trump’s travel ban # 2.  The States of Washington and New York have joined in on the lawsuit and there are now three States suing to stop this travel ban that has been supported by the dubious reason of national security.  A court hearing has been scheduled by the Judge in Hawaii for March 15, 2017.  You may recall that the travel ban is suppose to go into effect on March 16, 2017 and applies to nationals from six countries (see prior blog for list of countries which are effected by the executive order).

Mr. Trump signed the second executive order behind closed doors and without a video.  DHS Secretary Kelly reiterated that the ban was for national security purposes despite the fact that Secretary Tilllerson had moments prior just taken Iraq off of the list of countries affected by the second travel ban.  The travel ban seems once again hastily rolled out.
