U-Visa

The U.S. Citizenship & Immigration Services (USCIS) may find someone eligible for temporary status (up to 4 years) if they have been victims of qualifying crimes, suffered substantial abuse, and have provided assistance to proper law enforcement agencies. After holding U VISA status for 3 years, the qualifying applicant may apply for l awful permanent residency in the United States.

T-Visa

T nonimmigrant status is a temporary immigration benefit that enables certain victims of a severe form of trafficking in persons or offering discretionary protection on a case-by-case basis to victims who lack employment authorization directly increases the ability of labor and employment agencies to investigate worksite violations and support them in fulfilling their mission and holding abusive employers accountable. These applicants could remain in the United States for an initial period of up to 4 years if they have complied with any reasonable request for assistance from law enforcement/ labor agencies in the detection, investigation, or prosecution of qualifying criminal activity. T nonimmigrants can become permanent residents after 3 years of continuous physical presence in the US.
