Kasey Diba, Esq. is the managing partner at Finnegan & Diba, ALC.
He is a first generation American-Iranian who immigrated to the United States with his family at the very young age of eight years, and he has primarily resided in Southern California, with the City of Santa Barbara, his home town. Mr. Diba obtained an undergraduate degree in Political Science from the University of California, San Diego, with a minor in Spanish Literature. Soon thereafter, he pursued graduate studies and received a Juris Doctorate (J.D.) from Southwestern School of Law in 1993. He specialized in International Law as his elective and relishes the opportunity to represent clients, individuals and entities alike, in all legal/business matters, irrespective of forum or legal issue.
Mr. Diba is duly licensed and in good standing to practice law before all state and federal district courts in Southern California. Mr. Diba’s State Bar Number is 171081. Mr. Diba is a seasoned civil litigator and spearheads the Civil Department at the firm. The civil practice primarily consists of a business transaction, business litigation, employment litigation, civil and real estate litigation, which includes tort litigation, as well as intellectual property practice limited to Trademark Registration and Trademark Litigation.
From the onset of his legal career, Mr. Diba has zealously represented the interests of business clientele and he has been actively engaged in civil litigation in the greater Los Angeles community for the past 24 years. As Mr. Diba exhibited his legal prowess, the list of business clientele has diversified and grown steadily in the past two decades. Mr. Diba currently serves as a franchise and litigation counsel to the likes of prominent Special Needs Kids Gym franchise, Medical Professionals, Marijuana business industry and business owners, Event Ticket Coordinators, Staffing Agencies, Manufacturers of goods and services, inclusive of plastic goods, heavy-duty industrial bags, custom made fixtures for vintage vehicles, shoe manufacturer & distributor, entertainment & advertising production services and leasing company, property management companies, real estate brokers and entrepreneurs, media relations company, merchant credit card processing company and a multitude of other small businesses. Given his language skills (three languages spoken fluently; English, Spanish & Farsi) and his diverse life experience, Mr. Diba not only comprehends the many cultural nuances and business practices of his clients, but he also invites the opportunity to learn about new business offerings of each of the communities of greater Los Angeles.
Mr. Diba has ties to a qualified established network of qualified and subject matter counsel who possess the requisite knowledge and experience needed to assist with other areas of practice, not within the service offerings of the firm. The firm has also forged longstanding relationships with intra-state and inter-state counsel and law firms nationwide, in order to serve its client’s legal needs outside of the Greater Los Angeles Area.

Mr. Diba strives to live a balanced life. He has a strong affinity for sports, languages, and music. Mr. Diba is an avid soccer player, ski & snowboarder, swimmer, and runner, who values and appreciates family and the joy of life, especially in challenging economic times, while serving his legal community as one of the hardest working attorneys in Los Angeles.
